Alhamdulillah

Setelah sekian lamanya blogger tidak bisa diakses dari kampus itb, akhirnya sekarang bisa juga. Cukup aneh juga, kok ngedownload video dari luar aja bisa cepet banget. Tapi cuma mengakses blogger saja koq ga bisa. Sampai-sampai seorang temen bilang, jangan-jangan admin cache itb sentimen kali sama blogger ;)

Btw, yang penting sekarang dah jalan lagi. Walaupun sebenarnya masih lelet juga.

Ujian akhir semster tinggal 7 hari lagi. Penguasaan materi masih sangat kurang.

Uncle Sam Origins

"Uncle Sam" became the nickname for the Americans during the "War of 1812" between Britain and the United States.

At the time, Samuel Wilson, a meat packer and former bricklayer, worked for his uncle, Elbert Anderson, who had a store yard at Troy on the Hudson River in the state of New York. His firm had the contract to supply meat (mostly beef and salted pork) to the army. They despatched it in large barrels.

Samuel Wilson was given the task of inspecting on behalf of the government each delivery. If passing it as fit for consumption, he stamped the individual container with a sign, indicating his approval. The mark chosen was four capital letters: EAUS. They represented the initials of Elbert Anderson's name and those of the United States.

menjelang usai pms ii-09 ......--

Selalu saja saya bingung ketika akan memulai sebuah tulisan. Memang ini bukanlah sebuah tulisan terstruktur yang berplot. Tetapi hanyalah merupakan aliran pikiran saya yang hendak dikeluarkan agar tidak terlalu menjadi pikiran.

PMS II-09 telah memasuki akhir dari sesi kedua. Benar-benar tidak terasa keberjalanannya. Tetapi telah menyisakan beberapa 'keunikan' tersendiri pada semua orang yang berperan di dalamnya, baik sebagai peserta, panitia, maupun mungkin yang tidak termasuk dalam keduanya. Kesan beberapa orang peserta, acara ini sangat membosankan. Ada yang bilang merasa terbebani dengan mengikuti kegiatan ini. Ada lagi yang merasa terpaksa karena merupakan konsekuensi dari one gate policy. Beda lagi dengan asrama, yang semua anggotanya diwajibkan mengikuti seluruh alur kaderisasi di salman.

4 days to PMS II-09............

Gak terasa tinggal 4 hari lagi. semangat!

Jujur aja, ga tahu kenapa habis rapat angkatan tadi koq tiba-tiba saya jadi semangat banget. Yang jelas kerasa banget bedanya dengan rapat-rapat di salman. Khususnya di KaDe. (KaDe crew jangan marah yah). Habis kalo rapat di KD mah sama orang-orang yang 'jauh' lebih tua semuanya. Tapi kalo di angkatan mah seumuran semuanya.


Progress PMS II hari ini :

- Pembicara masih belum semuanya fix.

- Itun g-itungan peserta sekitar 43 orang. Subhanallah ! Setengahnya aja masih rekor! Rekor PMS II tentunya.

- Tapi dari 43 orang baru 2 orang yang ngisi formulir. hiks…

- TOR belum dicetak! Gubrak!! Udah H-4 belom diprint juga!!

- Proposal udah jadi, udah ditandatangani, udah diajukan.

- Tapi pengajuan keuangan belum ditandatangani. hiks…


Mo pulang dulu ah. Untung Fakhrul cepet baliknya. Jadi bisa cepet balik pake motornya.
